Boris Paval Conen

*1968 / The Netherlands

Boris Paval Conen graduated from the Dutch Film Academy in 1993. In the following years he directed numerous productions, including the controversial feature film Temmink: The Ultimate Fight and the GOUDEN KALF winning television series The 9 Days of the Vulture. His dance films (including those with the celebrated choreographer Jiří Kylián) have won numerous international awards, including the PRIX ITALIA and twice the PRAGUE KRISTAL (Golden Prague Video Festival). In 2012, the seven-part television series The Secrets of Barslet was nominated for three GOLDEN CALFS and in 2013 the telefilm Exit won the GOLDEN CALF for best TV drama.

Since Exit, Boris has written and directed four telefilms and one feature film. For these productions he was nominated for the 'ROSE D'ORE' and the 'PRIX EUROPA'. His telefilm Kamp Holland was released worldwide. His latest feature film Last call will be released in cinemas on May 16, 2024
