Cora Bos-Kroese

*1967 / The Netherlands

In 1986 Cora started her dance career with the Nederlands Dans Theater 2. She continued dancing with the main company, Nederlands Dans Theater 1 for thirteen years. During this time, she created and worked with many great choreographers: Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe, Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin, Édouard Lock, Hans van Manen, among others. In 1993, she received the Aanmoedigingsprijs.

Cora joined Ballett Frankfurt to work for William Forsythe for two years (2000/2001). For two years (2005–2007) she worked as ballet mistress for Nederlands Dans Theater 1, assisting choreographers like Jacopo Godani, Crystal Pite, Meryl Tankard and Jiří Kylián. She has also helped staging works by Forsythe and Kylián internationally. Presently, she works as a freelance dancer and choreographer in her own C-scope projects which she set up together with her husband – dance photographer Joris Jan Bos. Each year Cora co-organizes the Biarteca Festival in Rosazza, Italy.
