Ken Ossola
Ken trained as a dancer in Geneva at the Ecole de Danse de Genève under the direction of Béatriz Consuelo. In 1989, he joined Nederlands Dans Theater 2 (artistic director Gerald Tibbs) where he danced for three years. In 1992, Ken joined the main company, Nederlands Dans Theater which was headed by Jiří Kylián. Ken was part of the original cast for many choreographies, such as Kylián’s One of a Kind, Blackbird, Wings of Wax and Bella Figura.
In 1999, he left Nederlands Dans Theater to carve out a career for himself as a freelance dancer-choreographer. From 2001 to 2002, he also became ballet master for the Gothenburg Ballet under the artistic direction of Anders Hellström. And from 2004 to 2005 he became repetitor with Nederlands Dans Theater 1. Aside from his freelance career, he also sets works by Jiří Kylián and Hans van Manen for many international ballet companies around the world.
