The sculpture of Valentina is born

The first of the nine sculptures is born: a 3D model of the dancer Valentina Scaglia.

On the basis of the 3D scans created in The Hague by Erwin Kanters (Miniyours / 3D Scan Solutions), we have printed the first sculpture. The prototype took three weeks to print in life-size. The employees of the Liberec based company Cotrex spent a great deal of time on the sculpture’s creation, which, besides actual printing, also entailed gluing the sculpture’s parts together, polishing edges and cutting the sculpture into two parts. They also helped experiment with different ways of pasting the parts to the windows. Valentina will fly through glass at the height of the New Stage’s glass façade.
